President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.

President Erdoğan followed the opening ceremony with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar and other leaders. Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim made a speech at the ceremony.

President Erdoğan also watched the FIFA World Cup 2022 opening match between Qatar and Ecuador.
