Professionals and volunteers of the Greek Red Cross, attended by representatives of the German Embassy in Athens, distributed on Tuesday 13 October 2015, packages of hygiene at the open accommodation center for Refugees in Eleonas.
The distribution of products has been part of the bilateral agreement between the Greek and the German Red Cross, amounting to 200,000 euros. The agreement concerns the implementation of a program aiming to improve hygiene conditions for refugees and migrants who arrive in areas where there are particularly high flows of immigration, and more specifically in the island of Lesbos and the region of Attica. This amount is covered by funds of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
