There has been a Philippine Embassy in Athens since 1988. Greece’s Embassy in Manila went into operation on 10 February 2007.
Political Relations
The political climate in Greek-Philippine relations is excellent. This fact is reflected in our cooperation within the framework of international organizations, where there is a tradition of mutual support for candidacies. Both sides have expressed interest in the further promotion of the whole range of bilateral cooperation, with greater emphasis on the sectors of shipping, tourism, energy and construction, which have the greatest potential.
A large number of Philippine nationals live and work in Greece, and there is a tradition of Philippine seamen manning Greek-owned vessels.
