German Authorities to Spend € 17 Billion on Migrants in 2016

The federal authorities of Germany are planning to spend almost € 17 billion to address the migration crisis in 2016, as mentioned at Die Welt.

According to the survey among the local treasuries, the authorities are ready to allocate € 16,5 bln.

The actual costs will likely be higher, the newspaper says, because current projections of the federal authorities with respect to the influx of refugees into the country in 2015 did not materialize.

At the end of November 965 thousand refugees were recorded in Germany.
