Greece has an Embassy in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia has an Embassy in Athens. Greece also has a Consulate General in Jeddah.
Political Relations
Political relations between Greece and Saudi Arabia are at a very high level. The Foreign Ministries of Greece and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum on Political Consultations on 8 May 2007, and there is also a Saudi Arabian (Advisory) Parliamentary Friendship Group. There is good cooperation with regard to candidacies in various international organizations.
The main sectors of cooperation between Greek and Saudi Arabian enterprises are petroleum products and construction.
Cultural Relations and Greek Community
The number of Greeks who live and work in Saudi Arabia has fallen significantly over the past few years. Most of the Greeks in Saudi Arabia live in the western part of the country (Jeddah, Yanbu). Jeddah has a Greek Society and a Greek high school. There are, however, some Greeks living in the capital, Riyadh.
