Greece is represented in Colombia via parallel accreditation of its Embassy in Caracas, whilst Colombia’s Embassy in Rome has parallel accreditation for Greece.
Within the framework of the EU-Colombian dialogue, Greece supports the efforts towards peaceful resolution of Colombia’s longstanding domestic security problem resulting from the activities of illegal, armed, and well-organized guerrilla groups, as well as from drug trafficking, professional kidnapping, etc.
Cultural Relations and Greek Community
According to data from the Consular Office of the Greek Embassy in Caracas, there are no more than 30 Greeks established in Colombia, and there are no registered communities.
Colombia is under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Metropolitanate of Mexico and Central America, which is seated in Mexico City.
