On October 26-27, U.S. State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs, Kurt Tong, is visiting Athens to meet with Greek officials and private sector business leaders.
The priority of his trip is to discuss Eurozone economic issues and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) agreement. In Athens, he will meet with senior officials in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the banking sector officials and entrepreneurs. Additionally, Tong will address members of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.
Following his visit to Athens, Tong will travel for official meetings in Frankfurt and Berlin. A highlight of his stop in Frankfurt will be speaking on a panel regarding the transatlantic partnership at the Transatlantic Business Conference in Frankfurt.
