A group of volunteers from the Netherlands arrived at the building of Melissa Network with 1000 toys and 40 kg of sweets and biscuits to help to pack bags which are going to be distributed to refugee children to help their travel become a bit more humane.
The bags contained a.o. a first-aid pack, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a raincoat, socks, toys, soap, a coloring book and some pens and crayons.
The Netherlands embassy brought the group of volunteers into contact with Melissa Network. All in all, it was a great day with lots of positive spirit for a good cause!
Melissa is a network of migrant women in Greece, promoting empowerment, communication and active citizenship.
