During the Consuls Conference, October 8-9 2015, Ambassador Wrangberg honored Consul Andreas Metaxas with the Royal Order of the Polar Star and Vice Consul Nicole Karamanlis with the Long Service Medal of the Swedish Foreign Service.
Mr. Andreas Metaxas has been the Consul at the Honorary Consulate in Heraklion since 2007. He is awarded with the Order of the Polar Star for the good work carried out at the consulate and for being a good representative of Sweden.
Mrs. Nicole Karamanlis has been working at the Swedish Honorary Consulate in Chania since 1996. In 2008 she was appointed Vice Consul and has now been rewarded with the Long Service Medal of the Swedish Foreign Service for her loyal and service-minded work for the Swedes visiting or living in Chania.
