Τhe European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Mrs. Corina Cretu, as part of a two-day visit to Greece visited a kindergarten in Heraklion which received European funding.
”Thanks to our 1.5 million euro investment in this kindergarten here in Heraklion, forty children can enjoy a new and improved school building.
By investing in educational but also social or health infrastructures, our funds play an important role in improving access to services for communities. The European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund work in synergy to grant better access to good quality education and training.
I am touched to know that our funds will contribute to helping the pupils of Heraklion prepare their bright future.”, declared the European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Cretu.
