Donation of pharmaceutical products from Israel to the Greek Republic

Israeli state donated 1.5 tons of pharmaceutical products to the Greek Republic for the health care of refugees arriving in Greek coasts.
The products have been sent by airplane and delivered to the Public Health Laboratory Center in Vari. The Ministry of Health will distribute them in the center of Athens and the Greek islands (Lesvos, Leros, Kos, Rhodes) facing a large influx of refugees.
“The mission of the donation aims to provide support to the Greek government and necessary assistance for refugees. For the donation, the Embassy of Israel collaborated with the Greek Minister of Health, Andreas Xanthos and the General Secretary of Public Health, John Baskozos”, noted the Israeli authorities.
Beyond the formal State aid, Israeli humanitarian missions such as IsraAID, located in Greece since September, offering medical care and psychological support to refugees and cooperation with international humanitarian organizations such as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR ) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
