Greece is represented in Bolivia through parallel accreditation of its Embassy in Buenos Aires, while Bolivia is represented in Greece through its Embassy in the Vatican. Greece has an Honorary Consulate in Santa Cruz.
Political Relations
Bolivia’s relations with Greece are at a very good level and the harmonious cooperation between them is mostly reflected in agreements for mutual support of candidacies in international organizations and fora. Bilateral contacts are mainly carried out on the sidelines of IO sessions, in particular within the framework of of the UN General Assembly proceedings.
Cultural Relations and Greek Community
Bolivia was never a pole of attraction for Greek immigrants. Today, there are about 180 persons of Greek origin living in Bolivia, most of which are gathered in the more developed city of Santa Cruz.
